Recovering from Surgery

Following your pet’s procedure, we’ll give you specific home care instructions to aid in their recovery and we’ll set up a follow-up appointment to check in on them and remove their sutures. Generally, it’s best to keep your pet from any rambunctious activity for about 7-10 days after their surgery. Furthermore, wearing an e-collar or a snuggly fitting shirt can prevent them from scratching at their sutures. If you notice anything unusual about your pet’s behavior or their incision following surgery, please don’t hesitate to call us at (419) 691-2273!
